In this episode, I dive into how our reptilian brains are always doing the best they can to keep us safe.  When we are in times of uncertainty, our brains do a very good job of finding external things to control, plans to micromanage, and grasp onto the pursuit of something (anything) that will make us feel busy and distract from the discomfort of instability. 

When we realize this, we can bring awareness to these deeper underlying needs and meet them directly (without engaging in old habits that didn't work for us).

So good news, you are not moving backwards in your recovery or healing journey.  Your brain is simply doing the best it can in this given circumstance :) Have some compassion for where you are at today and always.
