Ep 237- 15th Time's the Charm
On this episode: The first of 2023 is filled with shenanigans. We caught up on some overlooked awards, giving Mississippi special recognition for 2022. We got live results on the historically embarrassing House Speaker race, by the end of the night Kevin McCarthy prevailed after Republican infighting on the House floor. Hakeem Jeffries was named as the first black man to lead a major party in the House. George Santos was seated after lying his way in, he’ll do fine in the Beltway. Sadly a 6 year old brought a gun to school and killed his teacher. Damar Hamilin needed CPR from first responders during the Bills-Bengals game. We discussed the playoff implications and tried to avoid sounding like “Skip Bailey”.
