You have to know how to regulate your own damn self before you even engage with the rest of the world or do the kind of work that you want to do, whether that’s advocacy work or the daily work of living!   


You have to find ways to respond wisely rather than reacting unwisely.  


You have to know how to regulate your own nervous system and get out of survival mode–whether you’re trying to survive with anger, sadness, or anxiety.  


And we can do that with a few, simple and practical mindfulness meditation practices.
