Heide Young is currently based in the UAE as Head of Cyber Security Strategy, creating innovative essential cyber security strategies and practices required for teams to securely function, without interfering in daily business processes. Heide is also a co-founder of Women in Cyber Security Middle East (WiCSME), established in March 2018 by nine women. Previously based in Australia, she was part of the leadership team for Australian Women in Security Network (AWSN) while also being a FITT (Females in IT&T) Mentor. 💪



Outside of cyber security, one of her other passions is learning foreign languages and encouraging others to learn. This led her to write the first Arabic children’s book written in Arabic, English, and phonetic Arabic. Meaning that even if you cannot read the Arabic traditional words, you can still read the phonetic words and learn how to speak Arabic. 💙
