I am thrilled to share this lovely interview with Jennifer Buxton, who started her career as an educator, then transitioned into blogging as The Real Posh Mom, which eventually lead her to her work empowering women as well as being a content strategist. Jennifer’s journey  took her and her family to Montenegro. She talks about what it was like to overhaul her life - she revealed something to me in that part of the interview that made me think about my own life and how I define it. Highlights from Jennifer's interview:

• Jennifer started blogging organically while she was bored at home with her young child
• The blog grew as she started responding to reader questions and comments
• She was determined not to lose herself as a person after becoming a mom
• Eventually a company flew her out and paid Jennifer (along with other bloggers) to get a spa treatment
• She started presenting herself as a sort of freelance marketer for companies who wanted to reach her audience
• Began to feel more like a full-on businesswoman and less like a mom who had a blog
• Started to become a brand ambassador for companies she really loved
• She is not a big fan of unhealthy competitiveness, especially among women
• "Comparison is the thief of joy"
• She made it her mission to empower women and help them find their voices
• She and her husband were working too hard though, and they needed to make a change
• Her husband was feeling like every day was Groundhog's Day
• Eventually they sold almost all of their possessions and moved to Montenegro
• Once a year, sit back and evaluate what you're doing in life
• Slowing down is not a bad thing
• She and her husband ended up opening a co-working space in Montenegro
• "Never feel stuck because you always have choices!"
