It may not be entirely clear when Renaissance genius Leonardo da Vinci finished working on Mona Lisa, but one thing is for certain: it is his best-known work, as well as one of the most mysterious in the history of art. Is it a portrait of Italian noblewoman woman Lisa Gherardini, or a self-portrait of a young Da Vinci? Is she smiling, is she not?
