EP 25: The Three Keys to Taking Control of Your Health and Life

How do you heal yourself--increase your energy, decrease inflammation and stress and reverse disease? By being proactive and taking control of you. On this week's episode I dive into the three keys that are absolutely necessary to truly take control of your health and life!

If you’ve arrived at this podcast episode, chances are you’re like many of the other women I’ve worked with when it comes to your health. You are feeling overwhelmed, frustrated or even hopeless. You have been searching for answers or a solution, but always coming up short. You may be resigned to always having symptoms or that this is just how life is always going to be. And you are starving for motivation. You are starving to be listened to and understood. You are starving for a plan and a solution. And you are starving for hope and the ability to dare to start dreaming. 

Seven years ago, I found myself in this same place. I was a seemingly healthy 28 year old chiropractor, who had already been on my own healing journey recovering from asthma, allergies and eczema and a life long dependence on medication. I’d reached a point where I was active, medication free and full of life. But at 28 I got another wake up call that told me I was still missing something when it came to my own health. I was a woman who had had a baby 5 weeks too early, and no one could tell me why. I was a woman who spent my sons first week of life in NICU fighting to finally go home. I was a woman who could not lose weight, who had no energy, no sex drive, no motivation, and no answers. 

What ensued was a seven year transformational process in which I figured out the steps to truly heal my body, get myself back and heal on a deep level, both physically and emotionally.

 I equate the journey to rediscovering my health to learning how to fly a plane...except unlike the women I now work with, I didn’t take a course, have an instructor or a book. Instead I spent years spinning my wheels putting all of that information together on my own. Now, I’ve been able to take that process and turn it into a blueprint that has helped hundreds of other women take control of their own health and lives.  

There are three keys to really finding lasting and sustainable success when it comes to healing without drugs or surgery:

  1. A holistic approach-must move away from the compartmentalized thinking of western health care
  2. Addressing the 6 Pillars of Health--stress/hormones, nutrition/detox, movement, sleep, gut health and immune function, mindset & mindfulness
  3. A guide/Mentor

What’s on the other side of being able to put this process into practice is nothing short of amazing. The other side is what have women find results like...

  •  Tripling their energy
  • Losing 30 pounds and getting off all their medication
  • Becoming confident and strong
  • Having less anxiety and better mood stability
  • Getting pregnant after years of failed fertility treatment
  • Decreasing inflammation and stress

When you start on the journey to taking control of your health and life you rediscover dreams and find a quality of life you didn’t think was possible before.
