Ahava Shira is a journal writer, memoirist, poet, performer, dancer & visual artist.
She is the author of a collection of poetry entitled “Weaving of My Being”, the creator of a spoken word audio recording called “Love is Like This”, and the co-author of the book "Writing Alone Together: Journalling in a Circle of Women for Creativity, Compassion and Connection".
Ahava holds a Ph.D. in Language & Literacy Education from the University of British Columbia, where she developed the arts-based contemplative practice of Loving Inquiry.
As a creative midwife, she helps women develop the confidence and freedom to express themselves through writing and other creative arts.
