Nikki is a recovering alcoholic who spent decades battling addiction and sobriety before discovering a passion for running at 40 years old. Nikki shares with us her story of going from zero running experience to ultramarathon in two years and how it's never too late to start something new. She has completed 20 races so far, including 3 marathons and 1 ultramarathon. The ultra (60km) was a virtual race that she completed in May 2020, during COVID-19. 

 

She shares with us her techniques on how to make peace with negative thoughts and excuses, how she uses running for perspective and goal setting in other areas of life, and the critical importance of not giving up on yourself. 

 

Nikki is a professional speaker and author and will be releasing her first book titled, 'How to be a BADASS' later this year. BADASS is a six-part framework for identifying your potential and navigating your road to self-mastery’. She lives in Melbourne with her husband and son.
