As a grassroots movement with a focused effort, ReOpen Bucks has brought together many people from across the political spectrum, primarily on the Republican side of the aisle. In this two-part series of episodes, we take a look at the state of Bucks County Republicanism, how ReOpen Bucks has fit into it, and what the future holds. In particular, we compare and contrast two emerging wings of the party: the more-moderate establishment GOP and the more-conservative challengers.
In Part 1, we sit down with Colin Monahan, Executive Committeeman in the Bucks County Republican Committee and President of the Palisades Republican Club, to get his perspective as someone who has worked within the party for years. We discuss his thoughts on the political demographic of Bucks County, the implications of mail-in voting, and his thoughts on the current divide among Bucks County Republicans.
