Career & Spirituality Conversations

Ep 27 - Coaching, This Spiritual Practice, with Aisling Melia

Listen Later

For this episode, I interviewed recruiter turned coach Aisling Melia.

Aisling is an ICF credentialled personal and professional life coach, a wife and a mother to her three children.

Her training is rooted in neuroscience and she uses tools and techniques based on this research.

Before becoming a coach she worked in HR and teaching. As a coach, she feels her role is to hold a space where her clients can gt to know themselves better and makes decisions according to their own specific values and definition of success.

Some of the highlights of our conversation are:

  • When a big life changing move turns out misaligned

  • The importance of knowing what fuels us
  • Until you learn coaching you have no idea what coaching is about
  • The perks of being a coach with a recruiter background
  • Recruiter vs Coach: similarities and differences
  • Coaching with Neuroscience
  • Book recommendations: Eckart Tolle, Shirzad Chamine & Brené Brown.
