In this episode, Dave Specht interviews Ellen Langer on her book "The Mindful Body: Thinking Our Way to Chronic Health".Ellen Langer is a Professor of Psychology at Harvard and is known as the “mother of mindfulness.” For over 40 years, she has studied mindfulness/mindlessness and has authored five books on the topic, beginning with her bestseller, Mindfulness, and her latest, "The Mindful Body: Thinking Our Way to Chronic Health." In addition, she has written 13 books and over 200 research articles. Her research lab conducts studies on health, happiness, decision making, education, business, and culture, all through the lens of mindfulness. Langer earned her PhD in Social and Clinical Psychology at Yale University.
