Marzia Hakimi, an experienced assistant professor for 11 years in Mechatronics Department, Engineering Faculty at Herat University, is a passionate advocate for women's education.

In addition to her academic pursuits, she is also a volunteer with Right to Learn Afghanistan (formerly Canadian Women for Women in Afghanistan) where she organise initiatives to raise awareness about the importance of education for Afghan women and girls, coordinate fundraising to support remote learners, and advocate for equal access to education.
