Welcome back to On The Grow, I'm Grace Lee.
This is the twenty-seventh episode into the binge-able Navigating Post-Coronavirus Series.
“Fashion is a dirty industry — it leaves behind a lot of pollutants on the Earth. “Fast fashions” will shift their business model. We’re going into a more eco-friendly, more conscious industry.”
“This is a good lesson for a lot of creatives moving forward: we fall into this corporate rut of excess and trying to push our talents. And sometimes, maybe take a beat back, miss something, so when you get back to that, it’s actually something special. Because we’re pushing out so much, it’s so easy for things to get watered down. The creativity is not there because you’re having to do so much of it.”
In episode 27 of On The Grow, I have a conversation with Lonnie Sean, a brand stylist based in New York City. Lonnie and I have been friends since our Terry Sanford High School days. We share how we met, Lonnie talks about his brand Part Time Fab and how you can book a consultation with him for fashion advice, finding your style, etc., fashion trends we’ll be seeing post-quarantine and what to expect from the fashion industry moving forward, what’s to come for Fashion Weeks, advice for someone who is wanting to go into the fashion industry, and more.
