👉 Sam McCreedy and Jesse Lawson McCreedy, co-authored (and Jesse illustrated) their children's book Theodore, The Sloth Who Wants to Race, which was recently awarded Mom's Choice Awards (top award-gold) and Creative Child Magazine's 2024 Book of the Year Award. 

👉 Jesse (writing as J.L.) first discovered her love for writing (and developed an incurable condition of wanderlust) while growing up in Southeast Asia as a third-culture kid, and is now the author of several books, including the Liberty Frye trilogy (MG/middle grade) and The Orphan of Torundi (YA/young adult).

👉 Her husband, Dr. Sam, practiced veterinary medicine for several years before deciding to help people, too, and returned to medical school and now practices Family Medicine.

👉 In our discussion they both share the meaning about their book, what it represents and what parents and kids told gain from it.
