After moving to the U.S. from Puerto Rico, Walter struggled to learn the language while also trying to fit in during high school. Walter took chances and grew from opportunities in college, the Navy, and in the medical industry. Throughout his journey, Walter admired the leaders that took the time to get to know him as a person and has done the same whenever called upon to lead.
