Shameka S.L. Sawyer is the founder and Creative Director of the 5 Shorts Project. Founded in 2013, the 5 Shorts Project assists aspiring filmmakers with creating a short film. Once films are completed, the project hosts a free community screening and the films air on local television via Comcast and Verizon. All participants - actors, cast, and crew are eligible to receive IMDb credit. To date, the 5 Shorts Project has produced 20 short films in 4 years.
