It probably wouldn’t be shocking to say “the dream life is expensive” if we’re defining the dream life as all yachts, sports cars, mega mansions and the likes.

 

But what if your dream life is living more simply?  What if your dream involves a quieter existence in a rural setting?  Or simply more time for the things that light you up?  Or living in alignment with your values more and more.  Or helping others? Yeah… still expensive.

 

(The irony that my dream of living a slow-paced, simple, off-grid, self-sustaining existence will take a lot of money to create isn’t lost on me).

 

So my issues with the word “expensive” (we’ll get into that), aside – It’s actually OK that’s it’s expensive.  Let’s talk about why and what to do about the fact that your dream life WILL come with a hefty price tag.
