Joke time!! Happy New Year! Nothing says happy new year like starting out with a few silly laughs.
I know once we put away all the decorations and head back to work after some time off, it's TOUGH... and it can also be daunting to have to come up with plans and ideas for success in the new year... and if your job requires you to present these ideas to your team, be sure to MAKE IT FUN!
That will ease any tension/anxiety/stress going into the new year and let people (and yourself) know you intend to approach it with a sense of humor and lightheartedness.
