I am grateful for the outpouring of love yesterday. It was the anniversary of my mother's birthday who passed when I was 4 years old. As a veteran and a black man in society, we have been conditioned to feel like we need to hide when we are feeling vulnerable. I have found strength in transparency. #ThankfulThursday
