So Fresh, So Stained

Themed Drink: Stainmaker Sangria

• FOR SYRUP
  • 1.5 cups Cherry Juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup peppercorns
• 2 bottles Red Zinfindel
• Approximately 5 cups of assorted red fruit (raspberries, sliced strawberries, pitted and halved cherries, halved red grapes)
• MAKE THE SYRUP
  • Boil the syrup ingredients in a small pot until the mixture has reduced by about 1/3.
  • Strain into heatproof container and discard the peppercorns
• ASSEMBLE THE SANGRIA
  • In a large pitcher, combine both bottles of wine, prepared fruit and cherry syrup
  • Chill for several hours or overnight
  • Serve over ice.
