After the defeat of the Persian forces at Issus, Alexander and the Macedonians were able to conquer many cities with little opposition. However, the heavily fortified cities of Tyre and Gaza were not so easy. Alexander and his allies had to invent creative and genius tactics and strategies to capture two of the most protected cities of the time.
