Don Bolduc served a total of 10 tours in Afghanistan. In 2006, he led the 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group, during Operation Medusa. From 2010 to 2011, he served as Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force commander. From 2012 to 2013, he commanded the Combined Joint Special Operations Component, where he started the "Village Stability Operations" program.
