Pawnee's Dad was a teacher/coach by profession. He spent his life helping people in and around the little town in which they lived. At the age of 75 he got pancreatic cancer and died. Pawnee is one of 8 children and remembers having a very different Dad in terms of his health and energy compared to how her older siblings may have remembered him as kids. Pawnee remembers her Dad as loving everybody and made people feel included and loved. He had a way of being able to be honest with people, even if it was hard, because he had first built a relationship where they felt how much he cared, so they listened to him.
