People around Jesus at his crucifixion commanded him, "Come down now from the cross that we may see and believe" (Mk. 15:32). Do we sometimes do the same thing? Command Jesus? We see injustice or unfairness and think, "I know what Jesus should do right now!" Except Jesus doesn't take commands—well, not from us, but from the Father. Instead, we ought to trust Jesus. Put our faith that is from him in him.
