When it comes to performance art, perhaps the most well-known artists you can comeacross are Marina Abramović and Ulay. You may even know of their work even if youhave not heard of them before, as performances like Rest Energy (1980), in which Ulaydrew an arrow pointed at Abramović’s chest while she held the bow, became famous ontheir own for their shock value and controversial nature.
