February is Black History Month, and one of the reminders that we need to do more throughout the year to highlight creators from marginalized groups. Animation is a predominantly white industry at the decision-making level. We looked to just a few examples this month of shows and movies written, directed by, and/or starring Black people.

We're kicking it off with The Proud Family - the original 2001 series created by Doreen Spicer and Bruce W. Smith - with the anticipated re-boot premiering later this month! It was a great time!
