Dr. Joshua M. Sharfstein is a professor of the practice of health policy and management at the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins. According to Wikipedia, he is an "ardent supporter of vaccines as an essential part of public health" and was appointed by President Obama as principal deputy commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration from 2009 to 2011.
