Welcome to the next level of your canvassing experience. The Lion Mode Canvassing series is here to prepare you for what will be the best summer of your life. It all begins with the Lion Mode mindset. This introductory episode will fill you in on the basics of what canvassing is, and why we do this extremely important work.

Our publications have a most sacred work to do in making clear, simple, and plain the spiritual basis of our faith. CM 1
- Why do Canvassing?
- Love
- We cannot too highly estimate this work; for were it not for the efforts of the canvasser, many would never hear the warning.—Testimonies for the Church 6:313 (1900). CM 6.2
- By the canvassing work the truth is presented to thousands who otherwise would never hear it.—The Review and Herald, October 7, 1902. CM 8.2
- What is a canvassing program?
- An organized campaign where students gather for 10 weeks to evangelize a certain city
- Wasn’t always organized: back in the day there were no “programs”
- More effective as a program, than solo
- What’s the structure like?
- Publishing Director, Youth Publishing Director
- Head Leader, Program Head
- Co leader
- Jr Leader
- Students
- Where does a canvassing program live?
- Normally in churches or SDA schools?
- What do I bring?
- Bible, journal,
- Sleeping bag, toiletries, towel
- Deodorant, and more deodorant
- Church shoes, 2 canvassing shoes, slippers
- For everything else, contact your leader
- What are the benefits?
- Spiritual
- Faith growth
- How to pray
- Witness God’s power
- Financial
- Social
- How to communicate
- How to present yourself properly
- Make friends for a lifetime
- Job skills
- Spiritual
Conclusion:
- In choosing men and women for His service, God does not ask whether they possess worldly wealth, learning, or eloquence. He asks, “Do they walk in such humility that I can teach them My way? Can I put My words into their lips? Will they represent Me?” MH 37.3
