Welcome to Episode 31! Join Heather and Devon this week while they discuss various attachment styles and the impact that they have on us and our relationships. Devon shares openly about her anxious-attachment style, discussing how even with 2 years of really deep healing and everyday mindfulness, re-entering the dating world has caused her anxious attachment style tendencies to bubble back up to the surface.
Heather brings in research from the clinical psychology world, explaining that attachment styles are often developed by age 2, and while they do stick with us, we can learn to reroute our automatic, protective response into a more positive and peaceful one, so that we aren’t reacting from a place of hurt or anger.
Tune in while both Heather and Devon explore how these attachment styles show up throughout life, especially in adult relationships. As they love to do, they’ll end with lessons, tips, and tools for learning about your own attachment style, and navigating the challenges that may arise.
Thanks for joining us in this space, we’ll see you again next Tuesday.
