The Bitchery of History

Ep. 3.21: The Activist and The Environmentalist

Listen Later

This week, Allison and Max talk about two Nobel Peace Prize Laureates. The first, awarded her Nobel in 2011, helped end decades of civil war in Liberia through peaceful women-lead resistance; the second, awarded her Nobel in 2004, started a movement that has since planted millions of trees and helped hundreds of thousands of women in Kenya: Leymah Gbowee and Wangari Maathai.
Then on The Bitch Next Door, Allison talks to Amanda Rohlke from The National Women's Museum! You can find more here www.womenshistory.org.
