Ever had a crime hit so close to home that it just sticks with you your whole life? Our main character this week, Pippa, experienced this when she was just 12 years old. A girl from her neighborhood, Andie, goes missing and her boyfriend, Sal, is found dead in the woods a few days later of an apparent suicide. He also supposedly sent his dad a "confession" text claiming to be responsible for Andie's death. So during her senior year in high school, Pippa decides to use her class project to dig into the investigation and try to prove that her friend, Sal, is actually innocent and not the monstrous murderer he's been made out to be. She will enlist the help of some unlikely characters, take a few risky measures, and quite possibly find love in the process. Can she clear Sal's name? Will everyone come out of this unscathed?
