We explore the role of self-awareness in breaking free from unhealthy relationship patterns. We offer practical tips and strategies for breaking free from unhealthy patterns and the importance of setting boundaries.


We discuss unhealthy relationship patterns and how to take control of them. Jenny talks about her experience with her ex-husband and why she stayed in an unhealthy relationship for 23 years. Margaret suggests looking at the relationship from the perspective of the mind, not from the outside. Margaret describes how her father's suicide at age 16 left her with low self-esteem and a fear of being abandoned again. This led her to have an abusive relationship with a man who cheated on her. She says it was a profound experience that broke her down to the core and took years to recover from.

 

Margaret shares a story about being in a toxic relationship when she was young and not being able to walk away. We also discuss the importance of having a support system in place to help deal with difficult times. The importance of sitting with oneself and understanding why one is in a relationship.
