Apostle John tells what true fellowship is -- direct connection with the Father and the Son. God abhors His worship through mediums, and ended all sacrifices with His Son. Hence, true fellowship is that with Him and His Son. Every genuine apostle of Christ is interested  in having the world of his time - the over 7 billon of our time -  know the truth and be saved.
