I sat down with country music singer Sam Riggs to talk about his career, and the path he has pursued over the years. Sam is so much more than just an artist, but is the full embodiment of someone living out their truth. We talked about his rise in the music industry, how he dealt with addiction while finding his way, and then spectacularly one defining moment that would change his life.

I’ll let you listen to the full episode, and not disclose this moment of clarity. My biggest takeaway from this episode as we discussed is to never stop committing to yourself fully. As Sam would say, “It doesn’t matter what others think”, keep staying true to who you are no matter how bad it gets.

I have found rock bottom multiple times in my life, and I’m not afraid of expressing those versions of myself. I think it is essential that we recognize that the good and the bad we carry inside is what makes us whole. If you are hiding, or not confronting certain aspects of yourself you will never discover your full potential.

Sam is all about adventure. He runs an adventure company called Air & Opportunity Adventure Co. where you can join him for adventures all over North America. At the end of the month he has decided to step away from the lights momentarily, moving to Alaska, the last frontier. Sam will be spending time with his wife and son, and getting the opportunity to take a job flying seaplanes. I am inspired by your story Sam, and I am sure that hearing this raw & authentic look at how your life has transgressed will touch the hearts of many.
