Boog Highberger, despite his nickname, was a pretty regular guy. He had his high school sweetheart. He was above average in smarts. He wanted to be liked and have friends. He loved playing baseball. But one winter day, on the way to watch basketball, his life changed forever.
He and his friends stopped to take advantage of a snowdrift, back in the days when it still snowed in Kansas. His friend jumped in and Boog did the same. Only “I didn’t notice how the other person jumped.” Boog dove in, hit his head, cracked his neck and at 17, was paralyzed from the neck down. Find out how Boog’s and his family’s mindset and beliefs kept him from despair, got him walking again, and turned him into the remarkable, happy, fulfilled man he is today.
Note: Unfortunately, in the audio editing process, I wasn’t able to increase the volume of Boog’s voice. You’ll need to listen to this in a quiet space.
