Today Stephen, Aaron, and Josh talk about reacting to sin, living sacrificial lives, and motives behind sacrifice.  

 

Talk to your kids about their reaction to their sin:

Where is your student at with how they view their sin and Jesus’ sacrifice for them? Do they see themselves as a sinner? Do they think their sin is so bad that it's unforgivable?

 

Remind them of the power of Jesus’ sacrifice!

 

Talk to your kids about sacrifice: How can they sacrifice to love people around them? As a family, how can you sacrifice something to love another family?  What are ways to think about people more than you think about yourself?

Remind them sacrifice comes at a cost. Stay focused on the reason you sacrifice; it should not be out of guilt but in light of what Jesus has done for us.
