Kris & David are back with yet another episode of Between the Sheets, a Patreon request submitted by Allan Paisner who wanted us to do the week that was August 24-30, 1994. We are also joined by one of our favorite guests, Joe Gagne (@JoeGagne), which is always a treat.

• We start off talking about WCW and one of the most watched wrestling matches in cable TV history, as Hulk Hogan faced off against Ric Flair at the Clash of the Champions in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. We talk about the pre-match angle featuring Hulk Hogan getting his Nancy Kerrigan moment, as well as all the other hullabaloo surrounding that, plus the rest of the card, which was a helluva show all together. We also talk about the state of WCW at that time, as Hogan's power is growing fast and furious thanks to his business success, as well as the other WCW issues of the day.
• We then go to Japan talking about everything there, especially FMW, WAR, & AJW having major shows doing great business, before going to Mexico, where AAA is doing big things and CMLL debuts in Houston, Texas.
• We come back to the U.S. and go to ECW, where Shane Douglas threw down the NWA World Heavyweight Title belt after winning it in a tournament at the ECW Arena, proclaiming himself the new ECW WORLD Heavyweight Champion as Eastern Championship Wrestling became Extreme Championship Wrestling. We also have a big possible narrative shift taking place regarding this whole thing too, particularly how much of it was a double cross in the moment compared to later that week on TV. Then we talk about SMW, USWA, GWF, and other promotions, including some fun clips from SMW.
• We close with the WWF, where we go in depth talking about SummerSlam ’94, featuring one amazing match, a terrible main event, and other assorted matches including Walter Payton having a blast with Razor Ramon. We also talk about Shawn Michaels & Diesel winning the tag titles the night before the PPV and having a great morning in NYC on Regis & Kathie Lee before flying back to the midwest for the big show, among all other SummerSlam fallout.
