Not everyone is born to go a certain way or take a certain path while they’re here on this planet. Some accept, at an early age that they are to go to school, make good grades, go to college, get a job, and work 40 hours a week with a nice retirement egg to spend into their golden years.
Jeremy Schreifels is everything, but the typical societal cliche. He’s quite the opposite. Born in Canada and raised in Minnesota, Jeremy is the epitome of what it means to break the mold, burn it, and never look back. He’s a Producer, Author, Realtor, and songwriter. He’s written with some of the most prolific songwriters of today’s modern age affecting the culture of a generation while living quietly in Champlain, MN.
Jeff and Jeremy dive in and go existential on the meaning of life. The purpose of our gifts, and how to leverage a person’s natural talents and abilities is a strong theme in this episode as Jeremy shares the beginning of his music career, what he learned and what he knows. They talk about falling in love, writing, the process of writing and not letting the outcome of the end result get in the way of progress. They discuss the importance of having multiple streams of income and the beginning of Jeremy’s career.
What You’ll Learn:
Favorite Quotes:
“As you begin, like most businesses, you have to take everything you can.”
“Three Years ago, I think one month I played 20 gigs with nine different bands and that just makes my head hurt just thinking about it. What I realized then was, yes, I can do all those things and I can do them well and the beauty is I can save all those charts and refer back to them. I don’t have to recreate the wheel every time. But what I really figured out is, I just really need to narrow this focus and be the best at only a few things.”
-Jeremy Schreifels

When he wasn’t helping with the harvest, he was at the hockey rink. Jeff’s early life experiences taught him he needs to be either all-in or all-out.
In 2000 he started a single-family home construction business and by 2008 he was looking for his next big thing. Jeff founded the Blue Sky Benefit Solutions & Rise Above HR/Recruiting on top of a lifelong passion for helping people. Through this show, Jeff will take that passion one step further.
