Gratitude isn't a spiritual nicety. It's the actual prayer. And the first thing worth being grateful for might be the version of you that felt like you got it all wrong.

This one started as announcements and wandered somewhere I didn't plan. Ended up in the king archetype — the difference between the sovereign who serves the kingdom and the one who expects the kingdom to serve him. Then near the close it turned into something else: a thank-you to every past version of me that made a terrifying decision so I could be here now.
