For me, it’s incredibly ahistorical and fails to consider all of the reasons Black folk have ALWAYS had hope. We come from communities that work with the impossible with nothing. Don’t give up now!

And, I know I’m late but I also put my two cowries into the conversation regarding Gayle King and Snoop. Here’s a hint: I think they were both wrong.
