Hey ya’ll hey!
Thanks for tuning into Episode 38 of Tellemtiptoldyou—"We Have Always Had Hope.”
In this episode of Tellemtiptoldyou, I problematize Black pessimism and how it is manifesting as rhetoric in this 2020 Primary election cycle. For me, it’s incredibly ahistorical and fails to consider all of the reasons Black folk have ALWAYS had hope. We come from communities that work with the impossible with nothing. Don’t give up now!
And, I know I’m late but I also put my two cowries into the conversation regarding Gayle King and Snoop. Here’s a hint: I think they were both wrong.
I look forward to your reviews on this episode and invite you to email me about your thoughts!
Take care ya’ll! #tellemtiptoldyou
