Welcome to episode 39 of the Deskbound Therapy Podcast. I am joined by a Mental and Physical Transformation Coach and Co-Founder of the Exercise Therapy Association, Brendan Fox. Today we talk about how therapy works after an injury and how to find the root cause of sudden physical aches and pains. We will also discuss the importance of good posture and how taking care of yourself even for a few minutes every hour helps avoid injuries that can deteriorate overall health.
Brendan currently works as the Head Fitness Trainer at the prestigious Medcan Clinic in downtown Toronto, where doctors work alongside trainers. He has helped build and develop the team from 4 to 45 trainers, averaging close to 250 training sessions a day - the highest productivity known for any single site personal training location in the world.
His passions are public speaking and conducting workshops. He has a background in Improv (Second City graduate, Level E), Stand Up Comedy, Public Speaking (He used to compete with Toastmasters), corporate motivational speaking, and running workshops and courses in the areas of health and wellness through the Elite Coaching Academy.
He is a lifelong learner who is highly passionate about psychology, especially in leadership and change. He has spent over a decade working as a mental toughness coach for pro and Olympic athletes, executives, and CEOs. Despite all the experiences in his journey, he is humbled by how the learning never stops. He continues to read books and take educational courses regularly.
