Joy and pain is like sunshine and rain. When they’re together, they create the most beautiful thing...a sun shower. What’s more beautiful than a sun shower? When it’s raining while the sun is out. That’s like finding ways and reasons to enjoy the moment regardless of the hardships and troubling circumstance at the current time. A funeral after a death is one of those ways to celebrate the day during a time of mourning. Expressing the pain is a form of relief during the painful time, a form of sunshine during the rainy day. I suffered mentally the most during times I wasn’t expressing things I needed to and wasn’t self reflection because I was trying to ignore things instead of addressing or dealing with it.
