Stateless Children are the group of children that are born with no citizenship. This is because their birth is not recognised by the state and largely due to the parents neglect to register their marriage legally. More often it is no longer an issue with illegal immigrants or refugees. In fact, it is a common occurrence amongst citizens who did not register their marriage, and Malaysian men with foreign wives that didn't get their marriages registered.

Stateless children suffer from many issues and miss out on many opportunities in life, from medical care, education, and many future opportunities.
