Ep 39: Rest is a Requirement of Faith
A rest day is not just gym culture coded - this is a basic Biblical principle.
God does not simply suggest that we rest, it is a requirement of the Christian faith. We must rest from our works as God rested from His.The greatest example we have of rest in the Bible is God Himself. Even He, the Living God, rested from His works. How much more are we to rest?In this episode, I discuss how important is it to rest and that it is a posture towards the Lord when doing so. We also discover through Scripture that God blesses, sanctifies and protects rest! It is a gift God has given us and it is something to be cherished. How important it is for our Salvation to rest in Jesus' presence and to allow Him to recover us from our works and set the tone for the future.How beautiful would it to be to see people in society boast about the Lord providing us the opportunity to rest on social media, rather than boasting of our works?
