Pedro Lopes also participated in the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders in the United States and is part of the Obama Foundation; more recently, he became a council member of the World Economic Forum - "Global Future Councils."
Nominated for Future Leaders: The World's Most Influential Young People in Government by Apolitical and for World Politician of the Year Award by One Young World, he is among the "Most Influential People of Africa Descent Global 100" under 40 - Politics and Governance by MIPAD.
