I thought it would be a fun idea to talk about dating during covid because that is the last thing people wanted to do last year, but despite all the health concerns dating apps increased by 18.4% from 2019. Also, according to apptopia, in 2020 the top 20 dating apps gained 1.5 million daily active users. Based on these statistics, dating apps was definitely an activity people turned too to deal with covid or have some sort of companionship. Also, I think people who never considered joining dating apps reconsidered since it was probably one of the safest activities to do to connect with people. Covid made people face things in their lives that they were avoiding, and I can totally relate.
