Well, for a long time, believing the earth is actually only about 6,000 years old has been seen as an anti-intellectual position, and given many an apostate a good excuse for denying the faith. Baylor spends mentions how even some atheist scientists are admitting that Darwinian evolution doesn’t hold water, and then talks about what Christ turning water into wine has to do with the age of the earth.
