Jo Beckwith broke her ankle when she was 13 years old. Over the next 15 years she endured tremendous pain and had 10 more surgeries on the same ankle, finally leading to a decision to amputate the leg in October of 2018. In the darkness of her situation, Jo started a vulnerable video journal sharing about her experience and about mental health, hoping that "maybe 2 other people" at some point would listen to her story and be encouraged that they weren't alone. Fast forward a year and "Footless Jo" is a full-blown YouTube Star! Over 17 million people have watched her videos, she's been written about by Fox News and in People Magazine, and she is continuing to inspire people every day through her journey. On this episode of our podcast, Jo shares her incredible story with us. Other highlights of our conversation include:
