A four day solo sail from Picton in the South Island of New Zealand to The Great Barrier Island in the North Island of New Zealand. I get pushed along in a 50 knot Southerly Buster.
Three days of big seas, storm conditions and dodging ships in the middle of the night. My journy started in perfect calm conditions and thats what I had for the last 2 days. Becalmed, I motor the last day or about 36hrs of the journey.
Trying to find a sailmaker to repair my main and a super market to provision for the journey ahead.
I also have a nagging question. What country to sail to and where to leave from in New Zealand, and what is Whangarei.
